Happy Birthday Andy!

Andy and I both turned 30 this year and we both gave each other surprise birthday parties. The parties were fun for both of us but I have no pictures from either one...but I do have pictures of the little people who love Andy so much! Thank you Connie and Steve for raising such a good daddy and husband for us. We love him all the way down to his big shoes!

Haley Mae Ballerina

Haley loves dressing as a ballerina and then dancing and singing around the house. So I signed her up in January to do a ballet class once a week. Amidst five other little ballerinas in her class she learned how to tandu pase, (spelling please?) arabesque, plie, and my favorite is how to hold her hands. At the end of the year they were to perform in Cinderella! Haley learned every step of her class's part but she decided in January that she didn't want to do the performance. In May Haley and I had a date to the performance of Cinderella and she was dancing in the isle while her class went on stage for their part in the play. I think next year when the ballet school does Alice in Wonderland she won't be dancing in the isle!

Wizard of OZ!

Haley was so excited to go on a date with Grandma to see the Wizard of Oz at Fairpark. She has seen the Wizard of Oz a few times and for Halloween last year our family dressed as the characters. She had a great time with Grandma and came home with fun treasures from the play. The next morning she was humming "If I only had a Brain!" What a great memory!

Love these kids!

Happy Anniversary Babe!

June 7th Andy and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary by going to church and playing at home with our kids! What a great way to celebrate!

Happy 2nd Birthday Cash Andrew!

On June 14th Cashman celebrated his happy birthday!
Why we love this handsome 2 year old?
he loves his big sister
he is so soft with his little brother
always has to have something in his pockets or hands usually a rock
loves backhoes and dump trucks and books that have them in it
will eat anything
is learning how to do everything by himself..."self" including changing his own poopy diapers
speaks with lots of nouns..."home" for "Are we going home?" "silky" for "I would like my silky" "gum, potty" "I want to chew gum. I will pee in the potty for some!"
he likes to ride the motorcycle with his dad
loves his bed, blue fuzzy silky, and thumb

Cash got lots of fun presents BUT he grabbed the sand truck that came in a bag of sand toys from last year!  It's in his hand while he's using the noodle for the first time!

Happy birthday to our little buddy!
The boys eyeing the m & m's inside the balloons and #2!

After Cash poked his finger in the cake, Tanner decided to forget using his fingers and go with the tongue!

Cash didn't really care about anything but eating his cake! He is all by himself just getting down on this tasty treat! We love this boy!

Blessing Gavin

Andy gave Gavin a beautiful blessing, May 3, 2009. My mom, dad, and Jacob came for the blessing.

Happy 30=Stroller #4

This will be my fourth stroller and finally my favorite! I've got the Peg Perego single, baby jogger single, baby jogger double and finally the BOB double! I'm so excited to have this swivel wheel jogging stroller for our morning run! Cash and Gavin can sit in the stroller while Haley speeds around the block on her new big girl bike (she's fast!) Thanks for my birthday present babe! Now I need to sell the other strollers filling our garage. So fun to have my family visiting!

HAPPY EASTER!

Gavin Gray Hickson

Gavin Gray Hickson was born March 29, 2009, eight days after his due date, Mar. 21st. He was 9lbs 8oz., much bigger than my other two. I was convinced he was coming a week early like Haley and Cash but he tricked me and waited to come a week late. I went into labor at 4am Sunday morning and had him at 1:30pm that afternoon. It was a beautiful spring day and my doctor was not on call. He was trimming hedges and came in anyway. The labor went fast probably because we were anticipating what it was going to be. I am an advocate for an epidural free labor (maybe because Andy and my nurse were so awesome!) and will do it again when we decide to have another baby. Gavin is great and just goes with the flow. We love him and are so glad he's here healthy and strong!

Happy Birthday Haley Mae!

We celebrated Haley's 4th birthday on baby Hickson's due date, March 21st!  She is an adorable 4 year old (I'm not biased or anything!) And we love her so much! What makes us love her so much?
she loves singing "I love to see the temple" and "God gave us families"
loves being a big girl in primary!
her curious mind always thinking of a question for mom and dad!
singing or dancing to the beat of her own tune!
has a fabulous fashion sense!
her love of shoes!
loves talking on any cell phone!
she's an early riser! "Hello let's chat," is at 6am!
loves to cook, especially cookies!
has her own little garden!
likes to read books especially Fancy Nancy and Pinkalicious!
loves her family (she's learning that family is more inclusive that just mom, dad, brothers:)

We love our Haley Mae and all that makes her unique!

Haley really wanted a pinata and I forgot to buy it on Saturday and we celebrated the birthday on Sunday SO here is what I came up with instead! The paper bag pinata was just as fun as the Target pinata I was going to buy! I will be taking orders from anyone who wants a homemade pinata!
