Thoughts from Haley!

We just enjoyed the marriage of Bobby and Ash last month together as a family. It made me think back to my own wedding and I pulled out some of the pictures to remember it. I had the pictures laying out for a few days and Haley looked at them often, asking questions about who was in them. One morning she said, "So you got married," very matter of fact. I replied that yes I got married awhile ago. Next she asked me, "How was it?" I told her it was a great time and I will remember it always. She thought for another second and asked again, "Where was I?" I told her she was being my cheerleader (she likes cheerleaders) up in heaven with Cash and the other kids we'll have someday. She seemed okay with this answer and we moved on to another conversation. I just wanted to document this somehow because if I don't it will get lost in my head and I just thought it was so cute. I am going to go taste the cookies she's baking in her kitchen center. I love being a mom!

Baking!

Cash has been sleeping off a little cold the last couple of days so Haley and I have been cooking buddies. Ash gave us a John Deere tractor cake mold which turned out a super cute cake! I can't decide if it's better unfrosted or frosted but it looks so cute I didn't want to cut into it. I missed the smell of my mom baking bread so I found a recipe from my friend, Lori, and modified it a bit. The kitchen looked like a flour tornado had hit but the end result looks and tastes great! What a fun time!

Straight hair!

Haley got my straightener and was pretending to straighten her hair. I asked her if she wanted me to do it for real and she was so excited to do it. This is a real stepping stone because Haley does not like her hair done. Her hair is curly naturally and looks super cute but both Andy and I thought she looked pretty cute today with it straight! She got a little too hot and sweaty during her nap and her hair curled right up! She is a funny little girl!

Motorcycle fun!

Saturday was a fun day for our family! We got to watch Andy ride his motorcycle! Haley had a great time going for rides with dad and grandpa. She was way too cool for her sweet sunglasses. There was a little boy riding a tiny motorcycle with training wheels and Haley told me she wanted to ride it. She likes to pretend her bicycle has a motor that needs to be started so she kicks the pedals to start her bicycle--a very funny sight!

Parachute!

We have been trying to invent inside games as it has been a bit chilly here lately. One of our games is riding the parachute! Haley and Cash were both giggling as Andy dragged them all around the house! Eventually we'll use the parachute for other things but for now it works great for rides!

Walker derby!

The Main Event at next week's FHE is a walker derby with Tanner and Cash. The kid with least skinned toes wins!

This picture should have been after the three below because Haley was all tuckered out after learning so much in a day! Love ya Jake!

Jake and Haley

Earlier this summer we got to visit my family in Idaho and Haley got to ride on the swather with her Uncle Jacob. He taught her all about swathing alfalfa and she thought is was like "mowing the grass." After they were done, he taught her how to tell the difference between a coyote and deer track. Thanks Jake for taking time:)

Cash and Tanner

Cash and Tanner have a lot of pictures together but this has to be one of my favorites! No wonder Tanner looks so great in all his clothes. He doesn't have that in-between-the-leg fat. Thanks Todd and Abby for the Mr. Happy shirt. He really is such a happy feller!

Dancing Haley!

Haley was a dancing queen at Ash's wedding! She found this little buddy to dance with until she scared him away by lifting up her dress!

Bag/hat!

Thanks to Christine Rousseau for giving us this bag with yummy jam in it! Andy thought it would make a good hat for Cash!

Cat Hat!

Yes Haley had inherited my dad's sweet tooth! If he ever looks at this blog (mom that's your job) could you have him pick me up a hat like this! I love it!

Cash is so gentle!

Here is a more recent picture of Cash accepting Ginger!

Cash on Christmas Eve!

Cash really does like Ginger even though the picture dosen't show such. And what is it about kids and boxes? Just love putting them in a box and seeing the happiness is creates!

Ginger Bell

We got an early Christmas present, Ginger Bell! She is 6 weeks old in these pictures and just Haley's size! She is growing so big and Haley has a bit of trouble trying to hold her now. She's a Weimaraner and will be about the size of a lab when she's full grown. Here's a link to see Ginger Bell full grown in a few months http://www.huntingnet.com/ftb_images/Sporting%20Dog/Pointing%20Breeds/Weimaraner.jpg Oh, and I threw in a picture of our tree with the stockings for mom and Lanae to see!

Reading

Haley loves to read to Cash and he is always interested in what she's reading. It's funny to watch the two interact. They are good buddies. Thanks Haley for teaching Cash about the birth of Jesus.

Santa's Lap...SCARY!

Haley would not sit on Santa's lap but she was fine sitting on Mrs. Claus's lap. Cash had no choice and was fine until he looked at Santa. I missed the picture of him screaming after he saw who was holding him.

Gingerbread Houses!

Merry Christmas to everyone! I didn't get a Christmas card out this year but am already looking forward to getting next year's card out on time! We got to make gingerbread houses because Haley was very brave getting a flu shot and didn't cry a bit. It turned out to be a lot of fun and you'll never guess who's house won the votes! Take a look and judge for yourself!
